Re: linking to an anchor test
It worked!
Okay...maybe you're wondering "What was this all about?" I was thinking about how loooong some of the posts in the Project Journal section are, and it occurred to me that someone might like to link to a particular sub-section of their journal from either the top of their journal or even from another post somewhere else on the message board. It can be done! It's a two step process: first you define an anchor point, then you link to it. Defining an anchor is done with a tag that looks like this: {a name="anchor"}{/a} The link syntax looks like this: {a href="#anchor"}Click here to go to...{/a} or like this: {a href="http://forum.britishv8.org/read.php?1,34938#anchor}Click here to go to...{/a} (In all cases, replace the curly brackets with less-than and greater-than symbols. Note that the word "anchor" is just an example. You could use almost any word there.) |
