Insurance
My goal is to have an agreed value type policy that doesn't restrict me from using the car as essentially a daily driver. What companies should I call?
Also, read an article in Rod & Custom that highlighted the fact that homeowners insurance typically does not cover in process auto projects -- you need to insure the vehicle even if it isn't running. Now, you may be able to cover most of the parts, but that can subject to adjuster interpretation. That's why i'm starting to look into this now instead of the spring when mine should be on the road. |

Re: Insurance
Hagerty is a pretty good deal. They say they don't have mileage restrictions, but I have known of people being rejected for over estimating how many miles they would drive in a year, right Jim?

Re: Insurance
I believe that's right, it definitely pays to ask. I do not recall the mileage figure in question, it wasn't all that much. But clearly it was too much.

Re: Insurance
Don't mention any type of racing you might do, the insurance cos. won't write a policy. The big engine little car might make it tough also.

Re: Insurance
And, from my experience, ANY moving violation within a minimum of 3 years and you are REEEEE--JECTED!!
