Who's planning on participating in this weekend's huge MG car show, MG2009?
(Breckenridge Colorado, car show on Saturday June 27)

I've never been to one of these things, so I don't know what to expect. Someone, please clue me in. Is it worth going?

This event is a four day event, with the popular vote car show being held on Saturday.

It will draw all models of MG even though it is primarily an MGB and modern MG Midget convention.

As there are some V8s in the area (Al Wulf for example) I'm willing to bet that there will be a few there. John Mangles will also be there with his MGA V8 (now that a replacement pulley has been found!)

There may also be some race cars (EX186 resides near Denver)

I would estimate between 150 and 200 cars to be in attendance.

It would be nice to support the show, the local club, and the register, but you can, of course, go as a spectator and not put your MG on the showfield.

I think you will enjoy yourself whichever option you choose!

See you in Breckenridge....we have the red MGC here...but without white hardtop (I guess that's aka "incognito".)

Same reason I'm not Brian, too much work, not enough time, not enough money, and last but not least, schedule conflicts. But that's not a good answer to a rhetorical question is it? Let's see if I can do better.....
See, there was this unfavorable alignment of the cosmos and the gravitational effects drained my bank account at the very instant I was considering the registration fee. Then the dog ate my.... I mean the dog got hit by a comet and had to go for surgery (I didn't know anybody still drove those things. Honestly.) and then the only road out got blocked by a mud slide.

How's that for a start?

I didn't make it either Brian, had to choose this year on one trip, let's see MG2009 or British V8 2009? Hmmmm no contest I was in Durham!
Jim, got to watch those Comets around your dog, here I worry about my cats and Falcons!
