Re: MGB "Speedster"
Hey! Most of us are considered rebels in the british car community. For whatever reason, Robert seems to think that BV8 probably wouldn't be interested in his UNIQUE show car project - sure hope we can give him a bit of encouragement to post a sticky under project journals.

Re: MGB "Speedster"
I think it looks great & am looking forward to watching the progress. Are you uplanning for it to have a top? Would be really cool to figure out how to graft a retracting/folding hard top from something like a crossfire or SLK or something similar.

Re: MGB "Speedster"
The extra with is going to be with the flaired rear end. The body will retain the stock length. I did not have a need to widen the actual body since I am able to fit my LS-1 between the new frame I installed.
I do have to say that I am a huge fan of Jim Stabe's widened car though and have alot of respect for taking it that far. @ Dave Craddock - Sent you a PM |

Re: MGB "Speedster"
Jacques, thanx for the kudos! actually my company Preform Resources,Inc.designed, manufacture and sell that kit ,
we also do the bolt on R V8 hood. the kit was originally done to fit into the SCCA rules, so front and rear fender panels don't go past the door/rocker panel line. You may have noticed the race car in the pic has the racing front air dam while the shot of the kit parts has the road car front air dam, check out my web site for more pics of the B kit. Impressive designs & a bunch of work already completed -- how long have you been at it and what is your target for completion? |

Re: MGB "Speedster"
@Rob - The car was started 2 years ago as a project but we ended up with some new vehicles that were required to be done first so this has been my side project.
This year is different I am really making a big push to have it done this year and I will keep you all updated on its progress. We have some really great products on the vehicle and I will be detailing each as they are installed. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/07/2011 07:23PM by indesignmotorsports. |
