Great news Fred. I know that you will totally enjoy the trip and race. I felt much the same when my tickets to the Goodwood Revival arrived a few years back.

Hello Fred. Congratulations on the tickets,must be hard to get.I always enjoy your postings,lots of good info.I have a little story for you conrening Monaco.About six years ago I came across a dusty old print of a cruise ship and some people walking up a promenade and steps to alovely looking hotel.This was in a second hand store and the picture was hung quite close to the floorso it was hard to get a ggod look at.I passed on it and continued around the shop .As I was leaving I decided to go back and have a better look. I picked it up and thought what a lovely picture under the dust and bought for eight dollars.When I got home and cleaned it,imagine my suprise to find out it was Monaco circa 1920!The hotel was the original one on top of the hill in all it's glory. The prominade in front of the hotel is now the tunell where the cars go roaring through ar 200 miles per hour down to the harbour.The people walking the street up to the hotel steps could never imagine the same location to day. The colorsin this print,the blues and reds and pinks and whites are almost as perfect as the day it was new.It hangs in my kitchen so I see it all the time and gives me a thrill every time I take the time to study it.Its 24 x10 inches so its a panoramic view and made in Switzerland I believe.I'll never get to Monaco for the race but it sure is nice to have a piece of its history with me at home.Enjoy the race and let us know all about it back home. Sounds like a pretty cool print, and a great story to go with it.
I'm hoping to get some of my own treasures like that.
Wouldn't it be something to drive the track like the Top Gear guys did.
I'm not a real emotional guy but that episode kinda made me all misty.
