Any of you see this movie Rush based on the '76 F1 season, specifically James Hunt and Niki Lauda? I saw it last weekend and I thought it was excellent. Sure, probably very dramatized over the real story, but WOW! The racing scenes, visuals and audio, are more than worth the price of admission. I just wanted to share that, since were all gearheads here, this is a movie that should be seen on the big screen. Unfortuantely it's probably finishing its run in theatres, but if you can still catch it I highly recommend it.

Caught that on cable a short time ago. Wild days, definitely wild days. How quickly we forget.

Lisa and I enjoyed Rush thoroughly! We had a Sunday evening to kill after the MG Car Club race weekend at Snetterton, and Rush was perfect for that. Daniel Bruhl's portrayal of Niki Lauda was outstanding! We'll buy the DVD when it comes out.

I saw Rush about three weeks ago...even treated myself to a "sensurround seat" that vibrated with the exhaust notes, etc.

Great movie on the rivalry between Hunt and Lauda.

Grand Prix (James Garner) remains my favourite racing movie...and Winning (Pau Newman) and LeMans (Steve McQueen) rank right up there.

Here's a fun little parody of James Hunt:
