Road Trip For The Rover V8

Well, guess I will have to see if the efforts and $$$ put into the old girl pay dividends. Wife and I have been accepted to join a Canadian group doing a tour around Washington State. Figure to put around 2000+ miles on her. main concerns are the age of the alternator and the fuel pump. Life is short, I'm not getting any younger...so off we go into the wilds next week. Will try to post picks here and there.

...and we're home! Old Rover was a smooth comfortable ride. Didn't use any oil or coolant in 2200+ miles and 20 MPG average. Downright frisky for an old girl when the 4BBl and lumpy cam played nice. Only hiccup was a fried headlight switch. This was a reliability run for the mechanicals passing with flying colors. Now I can concentrate on other issues like interior/seals a/c, etc.

It sure is nice to see Shasta full of water again. We were camping there a couple of weeks ago. Glad you had great trip up and back!
