Roger Williams RIP

When I returned from the V8 meet in Townsend yesterday, I found an e-mail in my inbox from Roger's wife Alex, informing me that Roger passed away May 4 following a battle with cancer. Most of you know Roger from his many MG and Triumph books, and many of you have had the pleasure of meeting him in person at one of our get-togethers, and know that not only was he a prolific and knowledgeable writer, but also a great person.

My wife and I spoke with Alex by phone today and she is holding up as well as can be expected, but please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she faces the difficult and lonely times ahead.

Sad to hear. Glad I got to meet him in Townsend years ago. Great guy!

Agree - very sad to hear. Also met Roger in Townsend and will 2nd the "Great guy". His memory lives with us and in each of our cars - most of them having gained inspiration from his books!
