How many drag racers

I looked up Wisc international and it looks like they have a bracket race on the 12th of July. This track isn't too far from Port Washington. Any interest in a little drag racing?

Ed,
That could be fun. I just installed a 3.0 gear in mine, so it will not be fast in the quarter. I would hope for mid to upper 80's mph.
Time around 15 sec. The mile is what i usually run. Am hoping for 115-120 at Maxton, NC.

I've never drag raced before... but I could easily be swayed into trying it by a little peer pressure.

Sounds like a lot of fun! Won't be able to get in any earlier than Sunday afternoon unfortunately.

Well it doesn't look like there are very many drag racers. Its probable not a very good idea to pound on a car right before a big event, my luck at the drag strip hasn't been good lately.

Based on past meets I expect there are quite a few willing participants.

We had great participation at the '05 Terre Haute Meet.

I've done a bit of bracket racing in the past in my '68 Camaro & on my 1100cc Honda motorcycle. It's a rush! My biggest concern is that drag racing is real hard on driveline parts. Seeing that I will be 750 miles from home, I'm not sure I want to do that again. The drag racing in Terre Haute induced a nasty vibration right in the middle of my cruising rpm range that I had to worry about the entire 500+ miles back home. I still haven't tracked it down!
