British V8 regalia
Posted by: danmas
Date: May 20, 2011 09:24PM

I want to thank every one who participated in the wet and chilly British V8 meet this week. I hope all of you had a safe and pleasant journey home, and I trust every one had a good time in spite of the weather, and every one had enough to eat!

As many of you know, there was a miscommunication between myself and the sign-in desk. Many of you were told that your regalia was on back order, when in fact it was there on the table. As a result, many of you went home without the items you ordered, and some of you went home with items other than those you requested.

It may take awhile to get it all sorted, but I will send you the items you ordered by mail. But here's the rub: I don't know who got what! If you paid for regalia items and didn't get them, please let me know by e-mail or pm, and I will see to it that they are in the mail to you as soon as possible. Please use "V8 regalia" in the subject line so your e-mail doesn't get dumped into the spam folder by mistake. Most (maybe all) of the items are in stock; those that aren't will be ordered as soon as I can determine what needs to be ordered.

I apologize for the screw-up, and hope you had enough fun to make up for this inconvenience.

Thanks for your patience,

Dan

I've placed an order with Dan.....anyone else want a polo, t-shirt, or ball cap (etc) with the BritishV8 2011 logo embroidered on it!?

This is one way' that you can help offset the costs, and pay forward to next year's event in Texas, even if you were NOT able to be in Townsend this year!

Food for thought..........

In-stock regalia have been sent; back-ordered regalia have been ordered from the vendor. The vendor tells me it will be at least three weeks before they can deliver, sometime around the end of June. I'll ship them out as soon as I get them.

I apologize again for the inconvenience.

Dan,
Mine came today and the quality is top notch. Thanks for all your time and effort.
BTW I've put over 10,000 miles in my BGT V6 since the Townsend Meet. Did the Rallye to Reno and took the long way home 35 days on the road and had a great time.

Merv,

A/C worked most of the time, had to replace a switch in St. Louis, had a wire connector come loose during the track day, (that is the repair made on the show field) and the blower fan motor seized up in Denver but was able to free it up with penetrating oil. There were a few days at higher elevations and when driving up the CA coast on highway 1 when we didn't need the A/C. I still have some work to do to keep the engine heat out of the cockpit but the A/C is a big help, especially when it's 100+ outside.
It was a great trip and good seeing you again!
