Classic British Sports Cars Wanted!!!

Hello to all British V8 members,
My name is Tom Clark, from Mechanicsburg, PA. I want to extend an invitation to all of you to participate in an upcoming exotic/sports car show that will be held this April 28th at the AACA museum in Hershey, PA. The show is a benefit for a nonprofit no-kill animal rescue known as "Castaway Critters".

Last year's inaugural show was a huge success. We had some truely incredible machinery there. PLEASE visit this website for all of the show information including registration and a ton of pictures from last year: [www.coolcarsforcatsandcanines.com]

This year we would like to open the show up to include classic British cars. This a great opportunity for a bunch of petrolheads to get together and ogle over some incredible machinery. Plus it's all for a super worthy charity. This is "Castaway Critters" 10th anniversary, and we really would like to do right by them.

Gentlemen, please consider helping us out. Thanks for your consideration and participation.

Tom Clark

Max is in Durham NC, a bit over six hours away.

Tom, I've just added a new MGB show car to our gallery section - this one fitted with a Chevy LS1 (5.7L) - and it's located just two hours east of you. I'll send you contact info for its owner via site's private message system. Here's a link to the new How It Was Done write-up: Tim's LS1-Powered MGB Show Car

The Classic Motorsports Mitty featuring British sports cars is at Road Atlanta that weekend. So now I'm torn . . . drive 2 hours and enjoy the sensory overload or drive 8 hours and just look . . . Hmmmm . . . or will you all be racing the cars, also?

Curtis,

Tim's car is beautifully crafted! After all that work to make it like an old roadster, why in the world did he opt for new tail lights and not Mk I's? And those awful batmobile wheels and steering wheel?

Also, what's the bulge in bonnet for? I didn't notice anything in the build pics that required the bulge. The bmc looked like it might pose more of an interference issue.

Okay, lots of questions, can you share how you got the tires under the fenders?

what buldge? Looks like a stock hood to me. And, I like the wheels & interior. They seem to fit the car to me.

That "buldge" is a reflection in the paint.

Awesome job! That is more like it, LS power in a MG. Yeehaw!

Tim, try not to hate. So the owner took the "fifth" wheel, cut (2) spokes out of it and made a steering wheel, thats creative- maybe a first. Beautiful car Tim, roverman.

Gentlemen, this is the final week to register for the show. For those who haven't already, please go to the show website and take a look. Registration is easily accomplished online. For all of you racing enthusiasts, we are featuring a 2003 Jordan F1 car. Additionally, I was just informed last week that the 1997 F1 World Championship winning car that was driven by Jacques Villeneuve has left the UK on it's journey to Central PA. This car should clear US Customs in time to join the Jordan F1 car at the show.

Here's the show website for easy online registration: [coolcarsforcatsandcanines.com]

Thank you to all who have registered. Your participation is directly responsible for helping feed, shelter and provide veterinary care for the abandoned animals of "Castaway Critters".
