Trains - (ten times better now!!!)

Here's another article from BritishV8 2012:
Visit to the Texas State Railway Maintenance Facility

Larry Shimp has contributed technical notes that I think make the article MUCH more interesting, original, and worthwhile than what I initially wrote. (Thank you Larry!)

My thanks to Artie Clark and Graham Creswick for sharing photos with us.

How would YOU have captioned this one?

(My caption refers to one of the traditional folk songs of my people.)

Enjoy!

One of the other facts for the TSRR is that they have been a part of the Hollywood movie scene, lending trains and rolling stock for movie production.

Thank you Graham! I've pasted in that photo and a bunch of other additions too.

I don't suppose you got home with a good snapshot of the Riley-modified flathead engine we saw at Hatfield Restorations?

Wow - that's nice! But that's not the one I was thinking of.

Riley heads were on this little beast:

Everything you ever wanted to know about steam locomotives, and more. Fascinating reading for the mechanically inclined.

According to Rod & Custom magazine, there are only two left - this one and one in Speedy Bill's museum.

This car is featured in the current (October) issue of the magazine.
