New Man
I'm into The Daimler SP250 and have the entire records of these cars - see latest Motor Trend Classic (summer edition) article on the SP. If any reader on this forum wishes to known their cars historical factory spec - contact me.
But now I need your help in that I wish to fit a Borg Warner T5 gearbox in an SP. The 5th gear ratio in the 'box is .63 I wish to change it to a .72 . Question - has it been done and if so how easy. I wish to have a 'box set of 2.95; 1.94; 1.34;1:1 and the 5th currently is .63 and the wish is .72. ( I don't mind going to 2.43; 1.56; 1.24; 1:1 and then the .72. this is another T5 set up but the 5th is .83 and I need a higher 5th for a more relaxed cruising drive) Laurence |

Re: New Man
I'd give Modern Driveline a call. Here's some info from their website:
"Can 5th gear be geared down or up from stock overdrive? Yes, 5th gear can be changed from .68 to .73, .80, or 90. .63 can be changed to .59, .73, or .83" [www.moderndriveline.com] |

Re: New Man
5th gear in the T5 is the only one that can be practically changed out.
