The Terms of Service of this message board (which you agreed to when you registered your ID) have always read:

Images you've downloaded from car dealership websites, from auction websites, or from Craigs List ads must NOT be uploaded to the BritishV8 message board server. If you're not sure about an image's origin or ownership, it's probably best to err on the side of caution. In fact, in most cases if you didn't take a photo with your own camera it's probably best not to use this forum's "Attach a Photo" feature. Please consider that if an image has a watermark on it - for example a little camera logo in the bottom righthand corner - that's an indication someone has claimed ownership.

IIRC - publishing the item with the copyright notice does no good unless you have permission from the copyright owner.
