Another update on our dear lumberjack friend
A Gracious Host: Bill Young speaks at the BritishV8 2013 Annual Banquet Bill Young mentioned in a previous thread that he'd have surgery on July 9th. Although Bill came through that initial operation okay, there were post-surgery complications. Bill was re-admitted to the hospital on the 13th. At this time, Bill is in the Intensive Care Unit at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Bill's condition is rated "critical". Don Bonar spoke with Bill's wife Jennie earlier this afternoon. Don assured her that she and Bill are in our thoughts and prayers. Jennie said she'd keep us updated when there are developments. |

Re: Another update on our dear lumberjack friend
You know, it's always struck me that this new world of instant communication is so incredible.
I can talk to anyone, at any time, anywhere in the world. And yet even with all this diversity available to me I find myself drawn to a few very select groups of individuals. I think of these individual groups as representing the better parts of our humanity. Bill Young presents a shining example of these people, the type of person that I would like to call my friend. Through this forum have gotten to know a man that I will probably never meet in person. But even through this electronic connection I feel a kinship. And it makes my heart hurt to know that he is not well. It is my greatest wish that he recovers and maybe some day we can have a little "BS" session in person. Hope you can feel our love. Fred and the Lovely Lynne. |

Steve,
You just made my day! "Keep the @#$%& at bay'' Bill. Fred and the lovely Lynne. Looks like my elation was a little premature. But the sentiment remains the same. Cheers Fred Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/07/2013 12:02PM by DiDueColpi. |
