One little note... for those who don't wish to drive to the visitor's center at the summit of Pike Peak (which incidentally is 14,115 feet above sea level), an alternative activity is to take the cog rail train ride. The train has scheduled departures at 8am and at 9:20. The ride is a little over three hours long, including a stop at the top. Details here. Edited 1 time(s). Since we're taking highway 105 back to the Springs, maybe have dinner at Rosie's Diner in Monument? I'm sure they'd love a bunch of classic cars stopping by.
