Hey Rick - we made it to Hooters for you... Got a pic of the invisible Hooters girl... With invisible V8 GT, and if you squint just right, you'll see the invisible drink... Nothing but the best for the invisible man!

We missed you this year!!

Very fitting, Rob, for the Invisible Rick Ingram, who knew exactly when to call Dave Kirkman during the Banquet.

FYI, I'm posting cause I packed it in after 910 miles on the way home. It's kinda late & I'm kinda beat. It was 104 degrees in Eastern Colorado & Western Kansas on I-70 today. Thought I was gonna have a heat stroke driving. It was hot!

Thanks guys....nice to be missed. Of course, I KNOW that you missed Jean as well.

See many of you in Tennessee in October and in Indianapolis in July 2015 for BritishV8 2015!

We are working on a new concept for one of the activities next summer!

I certainly did miss Jean.

And Rick, you missed seeing this MGC:
Preview-MGC.jpg

I'm trying to match up owners' names to cars. Can someone please tell me who brought this MGC?

That was Chuck Hassler's MGC. He is a colleague of our LBC group.

Yikes! Yes, timing is everything. I must say, the weather for the meet was great.
Here's a few photos from our trip.

We happened upon Route 66 in Missouri:

After the meet, Katie and I spent two days exploring Colorado. We went to the far SW. corner.

Crossed Cottonwood pass outside Buena Vista, 12,126 ft.

IMG_4682.JPG

The pass gave me 11 miles of "gravel road", not so bad.

IMG_4702.JPG

Lots of wildlife:

I made a pilgrimage to Telluride. First time returning there after attending the 1982 Airman's Rendezvous:

On our last day, we visited Mesa Verde National Park. Cool stuff:

They would prevent the snowplows from pushing the stuff off the road.

The million dollar highway gets about 200 inches (5.08 m) of snow per year

Can you imagine working as a snow plow operator, plowing those roads in a snow storm, so close to the edge......
Makes my knees weak.

I drove it in the early '90s with my parents. My mother was in the backseat with a pillow over her head.

CDOT has lost 3 snowplow drivers. The Durango Herald Highway to Hell article has more information.

Hey! I'm looking for a nice photo of James Spradlin's red 1979 MGB V6 taken during our meet. James had to leave early, and I failed to get a good photo of his car before he left. (He was with us through Monday, right?) My photos of James' MGB feature too many other cars or have too many pedestrians in the frame. For a "Cars of BritishV8 2014" overview article, I'd prefer a photo that simply shows off James' car. Please help.

Not at meet but somewhat current.

My wife plows snow on the hills around here (up to BlackHawk). It is easier to plow up there than it is in the flat lands where the road vanishes before your eyes. Had several drivers that had to be dug out 1 mile off the road in some farmer's field. Fence slowed them down. lol

Great pics everyone. Hope to make it next year. Indy should be a blast.
