Remembering Joe Cocker
IMHO, Great distinctive sound, and "cover" artist. I feel the duets that are sorely missed/ never happened, would be Joe and Janis Joplin, perhaps the king and queen of raspy vocals ? What music they could have made... Computer re-mastered ? Sing-on Joe and Janis...

Re: Remembering Joe Cocker
I put "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" on my old turntable and cranked the volume up real loud.
Sure would have loved to see him perform live. What a voice! I wonder what kind of car he drove. |

Re: Remembering Joe Cocker
I was lucky enough to see Joe Cocker live (on the same bill with Fleetwood Mac) at the Boston Tea Party in November, 1969. It was a relatively small venue and Cocker's voice filled the room. He was quite the showman.
