I'm World Famous!
Okay, maybe not that famous... but this article just came out about Our 2014 Moss Motoring Challenge Entry. Check it out!
Lisa and I finished up with about 180 points, depending a little with how many bonus "creativity points" Moss awards us. I don't know yet how competitive that is, but my guess it's in the top ten. At least one competitor has claimed 194 points. To do that he visited 48 states and 5 Canadian provinces. (We visited 41 states and 1 province.) Visiting with PJ in North Carolina: |

Re: I'm World Famous!
Good stuff Curtis! Some great photos and a lot of time and travel involved. Way ahead of me. I did get an email from Moss acknowledging my entry and commenting on some of the photos and a couple of the modifications to my car so a T-shirt is in the works.

Re: I'm World Famous!
Congrats, Curtis!
You & Lisa spent an amazing amount of time, energy, & gasoline to get all those photos! Accumulated lots of great memories along the way. Glad that I got to help by snapping one of those pics. :) |

Re: I'm World Famous!
Thank you, gentlemen.
Phil, of the photos you collected, which one brings you the biggest smile to look back on? Have you studied the 2015 entry form yet? Lots of interesting new objectives! Here's the photo that Carl took - which scored one of our ten "car show" points! We hadn't started encouraging folks to pose with us in our photos yet. I'm thinking ay Indy (during BritishV8 2015) we should gather a big crowd of people for a group Motoring Challenge photo. We'll need to pack at least seven cars in amongst the people to make it count for car show points. Sounds like fun, eh? |

Re: I'm World Famous!
Curtis, of the 35 plus photos, a couple stand out as most favourite. My "ferry" shot, taken with a group of friends out for a very nice day trip, and yes, we allowed a friend to bring his Renault 2CV along. The second is my "harbour" photo, taken during a weekend getaway with my wife to Grand Manan Island.
I've looked over the 2015 entry form and plan to make a more focused effort to check off more categories that in 2014. Should be able to do it as we're planning much more travel in 2015. The palindrome category has me scratching my head though. Nothing comes to mind for locations, signs, etc in this area yet. May have to drive to Laval, Quebec. :-) I almost included this photo as a roadside oddity but thought better of it. Nice guy, showed a lot of interest in the B. |

Curtis,
Congratulations on all your achievements! All those miles and hours behind the wheel with no breakdowns or unscheduled maintenance events is a testament to your engineering skills. And all done with no cruise control! |

Re: I'm World Famous!
Thanks, guys!
I hope someone from the BritishV8 crowd will take the baton and really run with it in 2015's Challenge. Phil, your photos have really given me a hankering to see the maritime provinces for myself. Maybe not in 2015, but one day I hope to drive my MG to and through them. |

Re: I'm World Famous!
Curtis, when you do decide to visit the East Coast let me know. I'll help with some driving suggestions, perhaps travel with you for a bit and offer a bunk or two if you want them. I can also find some Alexander Keith's or Moosehead if you're partial to either (or both!).

Curtis. Your trip looks like a dream come true. what a great photo album. When you went through southern Ontario did you stop in Chatham and tour the RM restoration shops and say Hello to the exTyke? I recognize the Little Austria trailer park sign,,,my part of the country. Thanks for the tour
