It does seem like it's going to be a very well attended meet. Anyone have any idea what the largest # of cars at a single meet has been to date?

Not sure about the other meets....but we had 50 at BritishV8 2005 in Terre Haute and 62 at BritishV8 2010 in Indy.

Could be in danger of breaking those #s this year! Rick, you and the other stooges put on such a great meet! Can't wait!

These are the figures for meets that I either sponsored or co-sponsored, the only ones I have data for.

2003: 54 registrants, 43 guests, total 97

2006: 72 registrants, 60 guests, total 132

2007: 62 registrants, 31 guests, total 93

2011: 64 registrants, 32 guests, total 96

Attendance at the 2006 meet was helped a lot by being held just prior to MG 2006, and by having both Roger Williams and Ken Costello as honored guests.

Slightly off topic but.................... anyone care to begin the possibility of bringing the BritV8 Festival out to the West Coast in 2016?????

Y'all are welcome to host a West Coast British V8 Meet. I thought it was a looong way to Colorado Springs....

There is already a Southeastern British V8 Meet in the works for 2016.

sounds good.......now I just need more people to assist in setting the thing up....awfully boring if I am the only one to turn up.....LOL

All it takes to have a V8 meet is someone to take on the work required to set it up. British V8 2016 will be held in Townsend, TN, near the Smokey Mountains, but there is no reason not to have a British V8 West AND a British V8 East. I don't think one would take anything away from the the other.

There must be a lot of folks near the west coast that would love to attend a V8 meet but can't take the time to drive to the east.

If you've never been to a V8 meet, you don't know what you are missing. By far the most fun of any car gathering.

If you'd like to set one up, those of us who have would be more than happy to help you with it.

Absolutely........ I would love to get over to the East Coast one but work commitments restrict me from getting away for that length of time. That being said, I would love to look at setting up a West Coast one and will take this off topic to create a new forum.

Who knows, my own Mark 2 Jaguar may be completed by then......
