I am located in San Francisco Bay Area--out by Walnut Creek. But Oregon would be cool as well; mid way up and down the coast, and some great roads down the coastside. Originally from Bellingham, but I think the trip up there may be a little too much.

There is a great route run by the "Mille Miglia" that starts in S.F., goes up to Redding somewhere then cuts back down through Fort Bragg and Mendocino--really nice 4 day drive and the hotels, etc. and very conducive to auto enthusiasts.

But, open to suggestions (and help)....

Northern Ca.- Southern Or. gets my vote. Both are beautiful with lots of great cruisin' areas.

I am for Northern CA also but would like to make it accessible for anyone coming down from Canada as well?

This used to be the "old" route--which one I favor........ with adaptations~
Day 1 will see the Mille crossing the Golden Gate Bridge to parts of California that Martin Swig said, “Look more like Italy–than Italy”: Mill Valley, Fairfax, Pt. Reyes Station, Occidental, Santa Rosa and Napa for the night.

Day 2 (April 28) the Mille will depart for Calistoga, Cloverdale, Boonville, Ukiah, and Little River.

Day 3 (April 29), the California Mille will motor to Fort Bragg, Garberville, and Victorian Ferndale, returning to Little River for dinner and an overnight.

Day 4 (April 30) will see the California Mille heading for Jenner, Petaluma, Glen Ellen and concluding the adventure in Calistoga.

That coast highway run would definitely be worth doing for anybody within range. Unfortunately I am not.

You could be "in range", Jim.

All it takes is a road trip.

Hey-- I would love to see it held every year----and all are welcome.
I predict that getting it off the ground could take a little doing so all help is appreciated...

So what is the route you are thinking about? Start/finish point(s), roads and overnight stops

re: I predict that getting it off the ground could take a little doing so all help is appreciated...

All it takes is someone to take the bull by the horns.

Decision by committee seldom works.

Someone needs to pick a date and a location and run with it.

It was once said, "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you cannot please all of the people all of the time.."

I've coordinated many, many national meets for some twenty years including (now) four BritishV8 meets.

I would be happy to give you pointers (off-list).

Can't help with the planning, but I'd figure out a way to participate.
