2015 Moss Motoring Challenge Picture Thread
The Moss Motoring Challenge is an epic annual scavenger hunt.
It's easy to participate: just travel to qualifying places, and then take snapshots to prove you were there with any British car (or even a Mazda Miata) and with a Moss' poster. By New Years, gather up your photos and send them with an entry form to Moss motors. Download and print your copy of the poster and rules, here, (or ask Moss to mail them.) The fun part is the journey - share your fun by posting favorite Challenge pics here! |

Re: 2015 Moss Motoring Challenge Picture Thread
To get this thread rolling, here are snapshots I took this past Saturday after flying back to Colorado to get my MG:
Destination: "Artistic Graffiti" (You may score one-point-each for up to 35 Moss' prescribed "destinations".) Longmont, Colorado (You may score one-point-each for up to 26 towns/cities. Each one has to start with a different letter of the alphabet.) Boulder County, Colorado (This year, you May score one-point-each for ANY fifteen different counties you visit. Easy, right?) State: Colorado (One-point-each for the fifty U.S. states, plus one-point-each for Canadian provinces.) State: Wyoming (Yep... Wyoming counts as a state too!) State Capitol Buildings: Wyoming (One-point-each for the first three capitol buildings you visit. Two-points-each for the third and fourth.) Are you thinking about driving to Indianapolis for BritishV8 2015? You could collect a whole bunch of points along your way. And it's healthy to stop and stretch your legs from time to time. Why not include the Challenge in your plans? |

As a loooong time Peyton Manning fan, that first pic is awesome!
Quote: One 5 minute stop for gas. No time for pics. I'll walk around the pumps to stretch out. ;) |

Re: 2015 Moss Motoring Challenge Picture Thread
Those are terrific photos, Phil. Keep them coming!
Pics don't have to take more than a couple minutes, Carl. Camera phone selfies will even work in a pinch. Here are snapshots from day two (Sunday) of my trip to Oregon: State: Utah State Capitol Buildings: Utah Lakes and Rivers: Great Salt Lake (One-point-each for up to twelve lakes and/or rivers. Identifying sign must be included.) Sneak Peek Bonus Photo (Moss awards "sneak peek" bonus points for photos submitted at during the course of the competition. Sneak peek photos don't have to specifically match items in the Point Guidelines. I submitted this Bonneville Salt Flats International Speedway snapshot and also the Artistic Graffiti pic above to claim two bonus points.) State: Nevada |

Re: 2015 Moss Motoring Challenge Picture Thread
I've been posting mine on the Moss challenge FB page, about a dozen states and 4 provinces on my June trip. here are a few. My wife asked me if I was trying to win $50 from Moss again this year, I explained that it's not the $50 dollar prize i want that ten thousand buck tee shirt This is my third year doing this, I must be crazy. BTW I'll be in Portland, OR in a few weeks.

Re: 2015 Moss Motoring Challenge Picture Thread
Here's another local car show pic:
This was Dan "The Fit Man" Hoering's 6th annual "My British Cruise In". My photo doesn't do it justice - it was a small show but the diversity of cars was great! If this photo were an x-ray, you'd note a perfect E-type coupe behind the Healey. Two Triumph saloons were parked beside it: a Courier and from memory I think a "2000". Over there on the right, that's a Tiger, a Mini Moke, and a B-GT. Across the aisle from my car was a whole 'nother row, including a TD and perfect classic Mini. Let's see some of YOUR latest Moss Challenge pics! |

Re: 2015 Moss Motoring Challenge Picture Thread
Not a lot of miles driven this year............lots of family things and other trips, including British v8 in Indy, have taken precedence.
Went to a small country fair on Saturday with a few friends (12 cars in all). Good day but VERY hot and humid. The 1968 Morgan next to me is a one owner car and quite rare, a Morgan Plus 4 Super Sport Some unusual machinery at the fair. I didn't get any photos of the sheep shearing demo or the horse pull. |
