I'm planning another road trip. Next week, July 29- Aug 17. 2015. Flying to DFW buying a1986 C4 from Lloyd.
Road tripping to see my sons in Oregon and Washington state Then flying home. Car will be our left coast car.
Route suggestions and must sees welcome. Trip is Low budget, must average 500+ miles per day in sparely populated areas. Would love to meet & greet friends enroute Only have 3 weeks. Message me with suggestions. offers to couch surf are most welcome as I've been spending more than i had in my travel budget these last few months.

A quick up date, trip to date 2200 miles. I'm now in Azeala, OR helping my son with a project.
'll be here a week then on to WA. to visit my youngest son.

Spent a couple of days in Cupertino, CA visiting family and a night with Old Bloke in Napa, CA. Thank you for a very enjoyable visit Jim, also to Lloyd for his hospitality and a super car ownership transfer.

Hey PJ.

What part of Wash. will you be in?
I'm in Abbotsford BC which is right at the Sumas border crossing.
If you are anywhere near I'll pop down and buy you a beer. Or better, drag you across the border and show you some proper Canadian hospitality.

Cheers
Fred

Hi Fred,

I'll be visiting my youngest son in Indianola, WA you probably know the driving times and distances better than I. Last year when I was out here he lived in Portland, this will be my first time in Indianola.. I expect to arrive there on Thur. Aug. 13 and depart early on Sundat Aug.16, 2015. My son commutes by ferry to work in Seattle.

I'd like to meet up if it's feasible but it looks like a stretch given the distances and short amount of time I have in that area. I'll be back there for a week at thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving might work better.
My youngest, Lauren, turns 26 on the 14th. The Lovely Lynne would probably take a hit out on me if I was gone.
My sister lives in Duval and we have houses on Mercer island and Mnt.Baker.
So it shouldn't be too hard to hook up.
Abbotsford is only 2 1/2 hours away so not too bad as well.
Enjoy your time on the left coast, and we'll try to see you soon.

Cheers
Fred

I plan to be finished helping my son, Brian, in Azeala, OR on Tues. 8-11-15. Then I will resume my road trip up the coast road, the 101, with a visit with some MG friends near Lincoln City, OR. May have time for a quick hello in Corvallis, OR that morning.
Then Thur. 8-12-15 I'll continue north on the scenic Pacific Coast highway with a stop in Astoria,OR for a Museum. Then I''l be visiting Dawn and Kevin in Indianola, WA for a couple of days.

Had a nice chat with our British V8 webmaster, Curtis, we tried to work in a visit for dinner but conflicts of schedules mucked it up for this time around. We'll try again next visit. He claims he owes me a meal, I don;t know about that, but I'm not one to turn down an opportunity to be fed.

PJ, sounds like you're having fun. If you have time, I'd love to hear your general impressions of life with a C4. They're pretty much the only Vette that interests me even a little bit. They're kind of the "unappreciated" Vette, and I'm always attracted to that kind of stuff!
