Re: BritishV8 2017-Country Roads, Take Me Home
Thanks PJ.
Owning our business has a vicious side to it. You need to keep buying stuff so you can write it off or Uncle Sam will take it. So that being said, this rig is a result of the vicious cycle. Carl, Brenda has already been eye balling the stacked tandem trailers. One more write off. |

Ralph & I are heading out Monday. Our plan is to meet up on I-20 at exit 595 (Longview TX where LeTourneau University is) at about 10am & follow the route below to get to the warm-up in Wytheville on Tuesday. Anyone who wants to join up along the way is more than welcome. PM me & we can coordinate.

Today is the cutoff date for our special rate at the Quality Inn, so if you have not reserved a room yet, do it now.

Re: BritishV8 2017-Country Roads, Take Me Home
We have 58 tickets for Cass Scenic Railroad. Anyone who did not purchase a ticket with our group may still go based on available space and pay the regular ticket price at the train station. I think it is $37.

Re: BritishV8 2017-Country Roads, Take Me Home
Steve Carrick was the last registrant, bringing us to 50 advance registrations. We expect there will be a few more at the meet itself.
We now have most of the materials in hand, including regalia, Cass tickets, name tags, route maps and goodie bags from Jegs. so it should run smoothly I think. What we don't have is much in the way of items for the auction. A few, but it looks like the entertainment part might be kinda short this year. Feel free to bring items to add. Jim |

Someone usually donate a pretty cool hat for the auction don't they?

Too late. Janet and I are already on the road - doing the Blue Ridge Pkwy. before the gathering, and the GT is pretty full. In Asheville tonight, heading north in the morning.

Not so fast, Mickey.
What's your pleasure? Acoustic or electric? Acoustic - 6 string, 12 string, or Johnson Tri-Cone Bell Brass Resonator Guitar? Electric - Gibson Les Paul, Fender Stratocaster, Fender Tele Jr, or choice of 3 Paul Reed Smith guitars? Amps - Marshall, Fender, or Line 6? |

HA! With all that hardware, YOU'RE the one who should be entertaining!
We're in Sparta NC; waking up and getting ready to hit the road. Gonna see the Blue Ridge Music Center, then on to Roanoke to visit a seminary buddy. GT's been doing well overall. Smelled some oil yesterday, but level hasn't dropped - weird. |

"Great time to purchase a new gitfiddle!"
Not at THEIR prices! Just bought a new banjo - new to me, anyway. More than I need/deserve, but couldn't pass it up. One of these: [www.wildwoodbanjos.com] Banjo poor now. Need to sell something! |

So... is Carl bringing something to Lewisburg for Mickey to play?

If he does, I'll be happy to play if someone else plays as well. Not much of a soloist.

Re: BritishV8 2017-Country Roads, Take Me Home
I could bring my dobro, but unless we can get one or two more players to join us I'm not sure it'll work out all that well. Indy was a musical success but unfortunately a couple of fine musicians who joined up there aren't expected to be with us in Lewisburg. Carl, I know you could do it. If we only had you and one more player...
