Re: Charter Menbers
I recognize Larry Dickstein as the third from the left in the back row. The fellow next to Robin is identifed as Bob McClain with a question mark, it looks more like Wayne Peterson from Topeka to me. Wayne still has his BV8 conversion and shows up in it at a lot of the local meets. I think Larry Dickstein has sold all his MG stuff and now has a big Healey to play with. I haven't seen him in a couple of years now.

9" ford axle IIRC. There was something I wanted to ask about this car.... If I could only remember. Jim |

That's me in the center of the front row. Just behind me is Brett Shelley. He is from Ontario, Canada
and is a member of our Windsor-Detroit MG Club. He has a 1974 MGB and a nice 1959 Austin Healey. Regards, Jack |

Re: Charter Menbers
Cool! I've updated the 1997 and 2005 pages again.
I don't suppose any of you recognize this engine compartment do you? Could this be Dennis Williams' MGB? (His is black on the outside. I have great photos of the outside of it, but I can't find any of the engine bay.) |

Re: Charter Menbers
There were pics taken of a whole crew of us helping Denny change a broken valve spring during the 2006 Townsend, TN V8 Meet. Somebody cough 'em up!

Re: Charter Menbers
I thought the car with the broken valve spring in Townsend was blue?
I think the black car at Terre Haute was owned by Dave Burstyn of Canada? |

Re: Charter Menbers
The broken valve spring belonged to Denny Doyle. [www.britishv8.org]
This is Dennis Williams, and his car: (circa 2007) (I have nice photos of the exterior. If I have photos of the engine bay, I don't know it!) |

Re: Charter Menbers
Denny Williams was here for one of the early Roadmaster weekends, Perhaps when Graham was here. I regret that we didn't take the opportunity to have a good look at his car, it's something I meant to do. Anyway that car in the photo had a green firewall doesn't it?

Re: Charter Menbers
I got an e-mail from Dennis Williams last night. He confirmed that the photo shows his car - it had a green engine compartment, but has since been repainted to match the exterior - that and several other new updates have been made to the 2005 page.

Re: Charter Menbers
2005 is the only year I've attended, good times! The pictures of the dyno bring back memories of how hot it was that day! The top two photos of the green 'b are definitely a guy named Denny from Ohio. The yellow 'b is Bill Wheat's. There's a nice car that's missing from the site. I remember it sounded really great on the dyno.

Re: Charter Menbers
I regret to say, I only Attended the Annapolis Meet and the Sebring Meet. The Annapolis meet I drove my newly restored Black 74 MGB. I was at the time considering converting it at a later date. I bought my 80 MGBV8 Project not long after Annapolis. And had it at the Sebring Meet. I was never listed on the Annapolis meet on the webpage either. But my car is in the back ground in some of the pictures there.

Re: Charter Menbers
Update, I saw Wayne Peterson this past weekend at the Carthage, MO British Car show. He's doing fine and the car is still in great condition. He said he only goes to a couple of shows each year now, doesn't drive his car much either, but he does still get out. I told him he needs to get back into things, perhaps next year he'll make the trip to Indy.
