Re: BritishV8 Trivia Contest
I've been traveling, with only occasional internet access... now, I'm a bit confused about where this stands.
I think the original question was: Quote: Since no one answered quickly, an alternate question was asked: Quote: In response to the second / alternate question, Graham guessed: Quote:- and I've got to believe that's a winning guess. Surely this is the most powerful completed MGB conversion, no: Tom DiCenzo's 1963 MGB, with Chevrolet 454cid V8 Four days later, Carl apparently took a stab at the first / original question: Quote: I don't have a clue if that's right... but it sounds like a good guess to me. Alan, do we have a winner yet? |
Re: BritishV8 Trivia Contest
The A10 isn't what I had in mind.
I was sorta allowing the Weineck Cobra, which is insane. Since it's debateable if it's production, I was hedging with the Mercedes S63. I'll take the A10 though. The second question - I had no idea as to the correct answer. I was curious, and given the Marque weighting here look at the threads or post counts) figured I'd get more of a response if I slanted the question that way. If the 454 IS the biggest, it wins. If not, then the A10 wins. Is that fair? |

Then I think Graham takes it.

Re: BritishV8 Trivia Contest
Yeah, I think Graham nailed it. I'm confident he was thinking of Tom DiCenzo... so it should probably be noted that Tom's engine is only nominally a 454. In the article I linked to above, Tom stated that it's actually been built up to 468cid. A 540cid / 695hp Shafiroff Ultra Street engine is in the works because 468cid just isn't enough. (Awesome!) So, if Tom's car isn't already the most powerful MGB, surely it will be soon.
