Cincinnati British Car Day 9/11/22
The Aubrey Rose Foundation British Car Day presented by the British Car Club of Greater Cincinnati is five weeks away and I am cordially inviting you or your group to attend our show. The Aubrey Rose Foundation benefits parents of sick children in their time of need. Last year the BCCGC donated over $4500.00 to the Foundation.
The City of Fairfield has booked The British Invasion to play at our car show on September 11. They are a 60s music tribute band that has played in the UK. You can view their Facebook page. [www.facebook.com] And here is the band's webpage, [thebritishinvasion.org] The location is Village Green Park. 301 Wessel Dr Fairfield, OH 45014 This is 2 miles north of where we held the show in the past. Our traditional venue is closed for revamping, but the City of Fairfield graciously offered us this park. There will be food and beer trucks this year along with an ice cream shop and two restaurants adjacent to the park. Car show entrants will have access to an indoor air conditioned "driver's lounge" to cool off or to grab a drink. This would be an excellent show to bring kids, grandkids, friends and family to since we have live entertainment on a real stage. There is a grass area for lawn chairs in front of the stage. [www.fairfield-city.org] I would be honored if you informed your friends, club or group members about our car show that benefits the Aubrey Rose Foundation. You can register online here. [www.bccgc.org]. What: Cincinnati British Car Day Featured Model is the MGB All British cars are welcome When: September 11th. Early registration ends 8/31 Gates open at 9 AM Registration until noon. Appropriately, Jim's car is pictured, since it's his birthday party!

Re: Cincinnati British Car Day 9/11/22
Since they're throwin' me a birthday bash I'd like to do what I can to contribute. Towards that end then, any and all who might wish are welcome and invited to make my place a waystop on their trip to or from the party. BYOB and such since it'd overload me to support y'all but I do have guest quarters and even room for camping should it be desired. Been known to do a bonfire from time to time as well. Plenty of room.
I-75 exit 178 Mt. Zion Rd, Florence/Union, KY. Go West approx 1/2 mile to Gunpowder Rd. Turn right onto Gunpowder for .6 mi then right at 9406. RSVP would be appreciated. Jim |

Re: Cincinnati British Car Day 9/11/22
Wise move Phil, beds are limited and once they are filled we go to the couch, the floor, the hideabed, the inflat-a-mattess, the camp-rest, the sun room, the bus/RV and the rear yard.
Your reservation is accepted. Now unlike Townsend, we are not charging anything but in a similar way to the white house everyone needs to be a bit flexible. Jim |

Re: Cincinnati British Car Day 9/11/22
Jim,
If you have a lift open when I'm there, I'd like to show you the Helmholtz resonators I built. It's amazing how quiet they make the exhaust. Seems to have smoothed out the off idle transition too. |

Re: Cincinnati British Car Day 9/11/22
Woo Hoo!
I think this year, everyone possible should make it a point to drive the Roadmaster, even if it's just around the block. It'll surprise you, especially if you have driven it before. It has just gotten that much better. It's enough to make me rethink my life-long prejudice in favor of Roadsters over GT's even. I know, I know, sounds impossible right? But it really is that good. Drive it. Jim |
