Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite w/ Olds 215-Muncie Project

This is an unfinished project car that needs a loving home. In 2008 I bought it from a friend that had hauled it out of a field where it had sat since the late '70s. I cleaned it out and revived the engine, which included replacing a head and touching up the valve seats. It has a Muncie M-20 4 speed and a Triumph axle.

New parts include:
⦁ Griffin aluminum radiator, scirrocco pattern, with custom plumbing, new pump
⦁ 10.5:1 compression ratio heads (185 hp Cutlass package) Note, one head was replaced with a used one as they were different ratios when I got it. Heads are not new but have been refit after a valve job.
⦁ New Edelbrock performer 600CFM carb
⦁ East Coast Electric alternator
⦁ Facet electric fuel pump with regulator
⦁ All new brake and clutch pipes
⦁ RAM annular release clutch T/O bearing
⦁ newly rebuilt Muncie M-20
⦁ new u-joints and yoke to suit the Muncie
⦁ Hurst shifter
⦁ Fiberglass tilt nose (also includes steel nose in pieces)
⦁ Big brake kit (MGB calipers and adapters to suit Spitfire rotors)
⦁ 5" Jaguar tach and speedo with custom circuit board to adapt tach to V-8
⦁ Steel Bugeye dash modified to take 5" gauges
⦁ Extra steering column to re-do original setup
⦁ Extra set of cockpit aluminum trim
⦁ 2 newly painted early MGB 14" wheels to suit the rar axle (look similar to the original Sprite front wheels)
⦁ Aluminum flywheel and multi-plate clutch, reputedly from a Can-Am motor (not installed, not included in package. Extra $$$)
⦁ Lots of misc Sprite parts

I spent too much to get this to a "runs and drives" point. I lost motivation 4 years ago dealing with bodywork and it has just sat. I would like to get around $4500 for the lot, which is considerably less than the components are worth. I don't have time to part it out. Reasonable offers considered.

Sorry to see your project go by the wayside, that has such good potential. It's just as well for me and my marriage that you're on the wrong side of the country. Good luck with the sale.

Cheers,

John
