Rover V8 and Stag converstion stuff for sale
Hi guys
Nice website here, im based in the UK. After many years of having old rover v8 stuff in the garage i decided to have a clear out. I'd be grateful if any of you guys could give me a helping hand in identifying these bits. I have never sold on ebay but am starting to get stuff ready for the evil bay or forums. problem is im a tad clueless on this stuff. Rover v8 alternator? v8 dizzy Lucas 35DLM8 (from SD1) Lucas. sd1 v8 starter? p6 starter? SD1 rocker covers - presume they can be used on other rover v8s? Snub nose crank pulley. i bought this for a rover v8 in triumph stag conversion (snub nose harmonic balancer crank pulley with power steering drive). Also referred to as P6 pulley i believe. Is it used anywhere else? and whilst im here i thought id post the few i do know! Offenhauser 360 deg manifold Holley 390 cfm (It says 'LIST8007', then '0263' underneath RV8 application I believe) Real Steel typhoon cam Stainless steel exhaust manifold Stainless steel link pipes to Triumph stag exhaust system Holley air filter cover Rover V8 to Triumph Stag engine mounts and rubber Rover V8 snub nose water pump Snub nose water pump pulley (modified sd1? pulley) Rover V8 in Triumph stag manual propshaft spacers (HE30 alloy & H/T bolts to facilitate use of standard Stag 4 spd O/D propshaft) its quite sad really. i bought a stag and spent thousands on it, but i never actually finished it :( i bought loads for the rover engine but never even ran the engine.... having a clearout is an odd feeling really. slightly bitter sweet but hopefully i can raise a few quid to help fund some other projects... anyhow if you could help me with any info, makes, models, applications id be really grateful. I think i'll be either sticking stuff on the bay or popping a few for sale posts soonish (the mrs is going to nag about the boxes very very soon!) if anyone is interested i'll pop a link on here. I'm happy to ship anything abroad although some of the stuff may cost a bit in postage due to the weight. cheers guys :) |
Re: Rover V8 and Stag converstion stuff for sale
Hi Chad
To be honest i'm still trying to get an idea on what it is all worth. I spent a small fortune on all the stuff many years ago so obviously i want to try and get as much as i can, but at the same time i also want to shift it (there are lots of boxes in the house and the wife's tolerance will probably stretch only so much! If you are interested in bits, make me an offer. To be honest unless i'm kind of leaning towards selling on ebay for obvious reasons but i could be swayed by a good enough offer via pm :) Oh, and whilst i'm here i will be adding some more bits / photos soon.... * stag manual 4sp o/d propshaft * stag auto propshaft * power steering pump adjustable bracket kit to use standard Stag power steering pump * aeroquip stainless steel high pressure P/S hose * modified gearshift with adapter plates to facilitate rover gearbox connection * P6 V8 engine * Rover V8 gearbox & bell housing * SD1 heads x 2 |

Re: Rover V8 and Stag converstion stuff for sale
When you put a Rover V8 in a Stag is it normal to use the Rover gearbox or the Triumph gear box?
Clearly people were doing theses conversions before the LT77 SD1 box existed. |
Re: Rover V8 and Stag converstion stuff for sale
What parts do you still have left?
I am in the process of a build so a list would be helpful. Regards |
Re: Rover V8 and Stag converstion stuff for sale
Hi there
I havent had a chance to put any of it in ebay so it is all still here - ( the Mrs has insisted i put the boxes in the loft ! :) ) I have also dug out a few more bits that i haven't had a chance to take pics of, eg, manual flywheel, torque converter + flywheel, P6 V8 timing cover, SD1 timing cover, gear change adapter. cheers Rudi |

Re: Rover V8 and Stag converstion stuff for sale
Rudi,
Might be interested in the Steel crankshaft. Is it the 3.5,3.9 or the 4.0 size ? Do you have the "lift & duration "specs on the crankshafr. Thanks phillip leonard Kansas City. |
