FS: Complete Differential from '77 MGB, front hubs, deck lid (early car)
Drum-to-drum out of a '77 roadster for steel wheels. Car was running when I took it out and unit spins freely, has been sitting in my garage fro the past two years and it's time for it move along to a new home. $135 firm and will deliver within a reasonable driving distance of mid-Vermont. Will also be happy to arrange shipping.
Also have a set of front hubs for a steel wheel car (from the same '77). Sale includes bearings (good), races, etc. $40/pair (shipping is included). Deck lid is from an early car. Has holes where the luggage rack (factory?) was installed but is otherwise untouched. No dings or rust. $125 plus shipping. |

David, you'd be more likely to find someone looking for a stock rear on the MG Experience board. Most folks here are swapping them out for something different to get a better ratio.

Thanks. Have it over there as well. I suspect trying to sell this thing is going to be akin to trying to sell a set of rubber bumpers.

Re: FS: Complete Differential from '77 MGB, front hubs, deck lid (early car)
It's not the preferred axle for MGB vintage racecars because the early (banjo) style is lighter and is available with a range of generally more suitable gear ratios... but I would still consider cross-posting this in some of the racing forums including ours. Why? MGB racers sometimes like to pick up later (Salisbury) axles for making hybrid axles. They keep the banjo center and graft on Salisbury outer ends for stronger bearings. Your axle is inexpensive enough that a racer may snap it up.
