1977 MGB V8 (Ford 302)
Here's the link to my How it Was Done Write-up.....................
[www.britishv8.org] Car has approx. 85,000 miles. Purchased car in Florida +25 years ago, always stored during the winter. Body is 99.9% Rust FREE. Needs paint and Interior! Vast majority of parts listed were purchased new......................motor / transmission / suspension approx. 8,500 miles - AFR Heads, Valve Train and Custom Cam (< 2,500 miles). Fuel Injection System - 3,500 miles Installed temporary ABS plastic hood scope (looks hideous). Have Morespeed's modified MGC fibergalss hood skin (for FI) that requires bonding to steel hood frame. Must insist that whomever should purchase this car must inspect and drive personally (goes without saying!) Dare to say that this is one of the most drivable conversions out there.............acceleration is a tremendous rush. Handling is crisp and tight . Braking response is outstanding. Cooling is top-notch and uncompromised. Car is sold as is, where is - $22,500.00 FIRM..................no excuses! WILL CONSIDER PARTIAL TRADES towards total purchase price. Not going to get into amount invested to date - I believe that's self-evident from the "punch list". Bottom-line is that this is a great V8 car that needs paint and new interior. My only parting comment is that I tried to use the best of everything in assembling this car. I've owned it for 25 years and I simply wish to move on although with a heavy heart! |
