GM T5 S10 TRANSMISSION FOR SALE
GM T5 S10 TRANSMISSION FOR SALE
FROM RUNNING GM S 10 PICKUP TRUCK The GM S 10 T5, 5 SPEED w/OVERDRIVE - is a good MG conversion 5 speed transmission matched with the Rover V8. It will need a bellhousing and other ancillary (clutch) parts. The S 10 from which it came, now has a 350 Chevy engine and transmission. I originally purchased this S10, 5 speed, for my SCCA RV8 GT 2 race car. Street and highway gear ratios and the 5th gear overdrive ratio is deemed unacceptable for SCCA road racing. I have since purchased a GM Firebird T5 transmission for my race car project. Conclusion - GM S 10 T5, 5 speed transmission FOR SALE. I paid $350.00 for the unit. I will sell it for $250.00, if purchaser will pay for shipping or personally pick up in Lawrence, Kansas. |

Re: GM T5 S10 TRANSMISSION FOR SALE
Michael,
I'm checking on shipping costs from Kansas City to Denmark on a GM T 5 transmission. I have a strong feeling the shipping costs would be far too great to justify such a shipment. Also - no bellhousing or clutch apparatus would be included. I recently purchased a bellhousing from D&D Development in Almont, Michigan USA to adapt my Rover 3.5 engine (back of) block to another GM T 5 transmission (one from a GM Pontiac Firebird for a different choice of gear ratios). This is why I now have a spare GM T 5 transmission. D&D Development ship Rover V8 engines and drivetrains all around the world. You might want to check with them. regards, Phillip G |

Re: GM T5 S10 TRANSMISSION FOR SALE
Sorry to say, an S10 T5 is a poor choice for an MGB Conversion. The ratios are not ideal and the shifter is 9 inches too far forward for the MGB and most shifter holes. I have dealt with lots of these to know. That is a decent price for an S10 T5 for someone who is looking to install in the stock application.
