Edelbrock carb tuning kit
Sold my Edelbrock carb when I switched to a Holley but still have the tuning kit. I used one set of metering rods & one set of step up springs from the kit but put the originals back in the carb & the ones from the kit back in the kit so the kit has all the sizes it came with. Kit part number is 1479 & is for 600 CFM edelbrock. Pics below show all the jet, metering rod, & step up spring sizes.
Look to be about $57+shipping on Jegs; let's say $35+shipping. Sorry the pics are upside down; lost the originals when my hard drive crashed & haven't figured out how to get my own pictures back from Photobucket so I'm just linking to them there.... |
Re: Edelbrock carb tuning kit
I won't have any need for it for about a year, and haven't bought my carb yet, but could go $25 + shipping. Would this kit work for a 500 CFM?

Re: Edelbrock carb tuning kit
I think this one is a bit big for your needs.
The 500cfm Edelbrock is either model #1403 or #1404. Calibration Kit #1486 for is #1403 and #1404 includes: -Metering Rods (Pair) .057 x .049 .062 x .052 .063 x .047 .067 x .055 .068 x .052 -Metering Jets (Pair) .083 .089 .092 .098 -A complete set of step-up springs You can see in the pics that ost of the Rods and Jets are on the high side. Re: Edelbrock carb tuning kit
I'd agree. The one I have would be better for someone with a 600 CFM carb.
