V8 Autocross/Race engines
I still have (2) alum V8 Olds/Rover engines for sale. Both were built for SCCA Solo 2 (autocross) competition and used in an E/Modified Sprite.
-The first is 4.4L based on Olds block, 300 Buick crank, small Accusump oil accumulator, Holley vacuum secondary 4bbl, Edelbrock Performer 3.5l dual plane intake, crossover style headers, less distributor and starter. This engine in the Sprite won the E/Mod National Championship twice and trophied at Nationals as recently as 2008, not run since. asking $1200. -Second engine is pro-built (Bob McClelland, Massillon OH) drysumped 5.0L based on Rover 94mm bore block, cryo treated. Custom billet steel main caps with cross bolts, 3-stage dry sump (roadrace style pan custom made from a Rover pan), Holley 600cfm double pumper 4bbl, Edelbrock Performer 3.5l dual plane, Diamond flat top pistons, 3.5” stroke billet steel crank from 60’s GM “Accurad” 300 aluminum engine development project (sourced from Dan LaGrou, D&D fabrications), Isky solid lifter cam, T&D type shaft rockers, cryo treated Rover heads, reshaped small combustion chambers, extrude honed ports, stainless valves, MSD distributor, lightweight Tilton-type (not sure if it's a Tilton) starter. Engine built for 7000+RPM. Includes ceramic coated crossover NASCAR style 180 degree headers (1-5/8" stepped to 1-3/4" primaries, 3” collectors) and custom aluminum flexplate. This engine has also trophied at SCCA Solo 2 Nationals. Running in car now (for a couple more weeks, this season going for a lower weight break with a V6...) $3500. With sale of either engine can include up to 2 free Olds bare blocks, good condition Thanks! Chuck Sieber 703-628-0747 cell |
