Rover 4.2L V8 rebuilt long block for sale
I have a rebuilt Rover 4.2L engine for sale. This engine was rebuilt by Greg's Auto Machine in Kings Mountain, NC this month (January 2014). They have been rebuilding engines for over 40, and are one of the most reputable shops in the South East. Greg has been rebuilding engine for me for over 15 years and I have yet to have a problem. Greg also built my 4.8L Rover/Buick V8 that is in my 1964 MGB V8. I was in the British sports car and Land Rover business for years but no longer run a shop. I have lots of engines left over from that business and I am slowly having them rebuilt for resale. I have a 4.2L that hasnot been touched sitting at the shop still along with a Rover 3.5L, and a 3.9L V8 if anyone wants one. I will have a 3.5 Buick 215 with rover crank and rods and 20 over pistons rebuilt soon as well.
Below is a list of all parts and machining processes that were done to this engine. All parts were sourced from Engel Imports, Summit Raceing and Rovers North. Parts list: · Intake and exhaust valves · All freeze plugs · Gasket sets upper and lower Payne brand · STD pistons with pins and rings O.E. · 0.010 rod bearings Federal Mogul · 0.010 main bearings Federal Mogul · Timing chain/tension (double roller) · Oil seals · Camshaft Crower 50227 (have data sheet) · Lifters Crane Cam Machining · Grind and polish crankshaft · Resize rods · Press pistons off and on rods · Surface block and head · Three angle valve grind · Disassemble rocker shaft and cleaned · Reassemble |

Re: Rover 4.2L V8 rebuilt long block for sale
I forgot the most important part, the price. I need $3500 for this engine. I'm not makeing any money on this sale just want to get my investment back. I am moving next month and don't want to have to lug this thing around. I have wooden packing crates so shipping will be easy. No charge for the crate.
