Wanted- MGB V8 Radiator
Looking to buy a radiator for my Rover 3.5 project. Would prefer a factory V8 style radiator, modified stock radiator or mustang radiator. If you have something you aren't using or have upgraded and have an old one lying around let me know what you have.
Thanks |

Re: Wanted- MGB V8 Radiator
I have a radiator from a 69 mustang, that I took out of my v6 conversion. I went back to the stock radiator, with the twin pusher fans.
it appears to have a small leak where the top tank is attached to the cooling fins. if you're interested, I can get you some pictures. |

I have a mgb radiator that is 4 inches longer and is a 3 core plus a cavalier electric fan on the radiator. I can send pics if interested.

Re: Wanted- MGB V8 Radiator
plan to send the one I have to the shop for testing, and, possible repair, and, from what it is looking like, i'll have the fan to go with it.
my conversion back to stock has gone well, so far. |

Re: Wanted- MGB V8 Radiator
I put the stock radiator from an '80 model back in, with new stock replacement pusher fans, replaced the heater core, too.
so far, end result is that with my v6, the temp has come down by half. haven't road tested it yet, but, even sitting in my shop, I had the same results, before, and after. I think that the PO poured some stuff in the radiator to "band aid" it, and, that's why I'm sending it to the shop. I want to make sure it's a good one, and, ready to go, when I sell it. of course, it will cost more, then. |

Matt...is there a reason you do not have your location listed? This is always helpful to a potential seller...

Re: Wanted- MGB V8 Radiator
No reason Mike, probably just forgot to fill it out way back when I first signed up.

Re: Wanted- MGB V8 Radiator
talked to the radiator shop, today, and, he told me that it should be ready around the first of the week.
the top of the radiator had separated at the joint, so, he's gonna take it off, flush it, clean the joint, and, solder the top back on. he will pressure test it, then, i'll have it painted, so, it will look like a new one. the fan mount, and side mounts will be cleaned up, but won't be painted, but, i'll have it all reassembled like it was previously. just thought you might want to know. i'll post a picture, or 2, when I get it finished, next week. |
