Re: Wanted TR6 with v8 engine
Great job, Rob! That car is a pass.
Next, the Tullius tribute TR6. Second ad refers to him as John, instead of Bob. V8 car with no engine bay pics?! |
#44 TR6 car
That car appears to be a road/track car only. If I remember right for older ads, it has weber or some brand of fuel injection with no breathers on the stacks. Plus it has been for sale longer than I have been looking for a TR6 w/v8.

Re: Wanted TR6 with v8 engine
Door fitment... when the gap widens towards the top, it usually means the chassis (frame) is flexed. A common weak point with the TR6. Body off to fix.

Re: Wanted TR6 with Ford or Chevy v8 engine
Thanks Paul,
That is one beautiful and well done looking TR6. It is outside of my budget, wish that it wasn't. Gary |

Re: Wanted TR6 with v8 engine
Gary, you've been looking for 3-1/2 years now and the cars are not getting less expensive. It seems to me that either you are not serious about it, or you are looking for something that doesn't exist.

Re: Wanted TR6 with v8 engine
Hi Jim,
What I am looking for is a quality built car and not one that was built/throwed together on a shoe string budget. It doesn't have to be as nice as your or Harold's(heco5375) car. Auto or manual doesn't matter. Just a regular Ford 302 or Chevy v8. High horse power isn't needed. A car that someone built or had built for them and enjoyed for sometime and is now ready to pass on. So yes, I am a little picky on what I am looking for. My 1987 Turbo Buick makes enough for me, it dyno @ HP 428hp @ 6000rpm on 10 pounds of boost for street used. The engine is built for 30# for track used but it has never seen the track with this engine. Plus I have stock 74 TR6 for the last 22 years Gary |

Re: Wanted TR6 with v8 engine
It just seems to me that you've seen a lot of nice cars come and go yet you remain unsatisfied. Perhaps the search is more of a hobby with you. Which is fine I suppose but you've had people trying to help you for almost 4 years now. Which is also fine I suppose provided that is something of a hobby for them as well. It just seems, well to be honest, a little strange.

Re: Wanted TR6 with v8 engine
Not wanting to convert yours, Gary? Could be the only way to get what you envision.
I only know of 4 TR6 conversions that I would want to own (If I could afford to). Currently, none of them are for sale. |
