Daniel...it is always a good idea to state where you live....gives a potential customer in your area more incentive to contact you...

Given that the rubber bumper car normally makes me go Bleeeearrrgh!, I'd say you or someone has done an exceptional job with that one.
More pics would be nice. We especially like looking at engines.
How does it drive?

Oh, and the money, honey....

So, your first post here is to unload your car? Might want to read the link below.

Sorry, If I offended anyone. I did submit a "How it was done" document a few months back and hove not hear anything back.

I have watched the site for years and have not felt that I had more experience or knowledge to add to the best here.
Believe me that if I thought the advice was wrong I would say so.

I'm not a dealer, I worked for an MG dealer for years, I have a MGS twin cam.

It's an extra car I don't have time for

If this is an issue please remove my topic.

Sorry
Dan

Location - Woodstock, IL

Costs $6,500 OBO

I like the car and thought of changing the trans to a T5 and keeping it, but other projects have priority of time and money
I received the car from a friend who retired a year back. He purchased the car from Florida about 7 years ago and did not drive the car, maybe a 100 miles top, since he had it

I made safety and reliability changes to the car
Gas line re-routing
Radiator fans
Carburetor rebuild
Gauges correction (Tach , Speedo)
Shifter mount
Some electrical cleanup

I believe that weakest point is the transmission

The car handles great, but with the trans the RPMs are higher than I like

My apologies, Daniel. Apparently, you have done your part & the ball is in Curtis' court.

You should address that windshield, though (a job that no one wants to have to deal with). After doing mine, I decided an MGB with a cracked windshield is totaled as far as I was concerned. :)

Now Carl, that's needlessly harsh :-p. Though anyone would agree, replacing the glass is a big job.

Nice looking car. Worth the money even with the crack and that trans I'd say.

Dan
Although I prefer the earlier chrome bumper MGB's too, I would say that this is a very nice job--and a credit to its builder. I also go on record for welcoming you aboard--nice to have a another BritV8 amongst us!!
