Yes, he needs that to offset the extra weight of that big engine he's putting in the car.

"Plan B was a Fastcars IFS"
That was Plan A. Plan B is to notch the CB crossmember a bit more. No way I would swap to a RB crossmember. Looking thru the gallery, I see most of the Ford V8 swaps seem to be RB MG. There are some CB conversions, though. Call Paul Schils, Steve Carrick (pre Fast Cars front end), or Pete Mantell. It is do-able. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/23/2017 01:52PM by MGBV8. |

Re: Wanted - Rubber bumper cross member w/ rack
Coil over suspension will allow me to adjust ride height. The extra inch or so a RBB adds will be largely eaten up by the extra weight of the sbf over the buick. It will definitely affect handling, but I'm not nearly good enough of a driver to notice much. Nor will I be slinging it recklessly through the twisties of West Virginia.
You're going to hate my carb choice, too. Cheers, Al |

I doubt an extra 80 lbs is going to lower the nose an inch.
