No Longer Needed - WTD: Vintage Air Gen-II Mini Mock-Up
Posted by: Mark C

Want to install a Vintage air unit, but I am probably over a year away from needing the actual unit. Anyone have a mock-up unit they have used and want to pass along?

Thanks
Mark..

Mark, I just used a cardboard box the same rough dimensions as the actual unit. But, if you're trying to be more preciise for some reason, check local Vintage Air reps. One might be willing to rent you their mock-up for a couple of weeks.

Thanks for those ideas.

Box won't really work for me, I need inlet/outlet locations etc. to plan. I don't have the vision to plan well without a actual unit. Don't have anyone local, I know they can be bought, but hoping to get one a little cheaper and give back some $ to someone who bought one before and has it sitting on a shelf.

Thanks
Mark..

Mark, I don't know where you're located but according to the Vintage Air website their distributors loan empty cases to be used for mock-up.

Thanks for that thought. I am aware their site says that, however I do not have a local distributor so my purchase will be mail order. The Mock-up units are for sale, but at $50 I figure someone has bought one and has it sitting on a shelf and I can share their expense. Plus the way I work, I may have / need it for awhile and I don’t want to be under pressure to get it returned.

So, still looking.

Thanks
Mark..

They have several distributors within a couple hours of you. Have you reached out to them?
