Eric, that's a very cool item and your advertisement for it will be welcome here... but only IF you update your ad to comply with the short and simple rules posted in a sticky-thread at the top of the classified section.
I'd particularly like to direct your attention to this part: Quote: (Photos would be very cool too!) |

Re: ROVER V8 FLATPLANE CRANKSHAFT / THE SURVIVOR
Will it fit, or can be made to fit, in an olds block?

Re: ROVER V8 FLATPLANE CRANKSHAFT / THE SURVIVOR
OOOH yezzz, I want to hear how a "diecast", flat plane, stroker crank, with little mains/rods hold up. Why none around ? Pieces of them are serving as door stops ? Sell to Mr. Key, for his 32v RV*... Art of doubting.

A die cast crank does sound strange, wondering if that is miss information.

Jukka, only need (4) of them ! As in the ever-elusive Lotus 907 32 valve, head swap atop a much modded, RV8 block.
Fred Key, how did that project work out ? I might actually get mine built, if I don't run out of time..... Art. . |

Re: ROVER V8 FLATPLANE CRANKSHAFT / THE SURVIVOR
I heard back, emailed back and forth. Claimed to be a rover/leyland made piece, he got in a parts lot but from a guy named D.J. Ellis. I’d like to go for it but it is a cast piece( cast steel/nodular iron I assume) not forged which is disappointing. I heard that roller cam cores are available, the cores I’ve seen in the past had full round lobe blanks which would make Grinding a flat plane crank cam relatively easy in my mind.
