I have for sale a very special Rover V8 crankshaft.  It is one of the Boost Performance castings [boostperformance.co.uk] that I have had machined.


It is cast from nodular iron and it is fully counterweighted -- i.e. it has additional counter weights adjacent to the centre main bearing.


For complicated reasons that I am happy to go into for anyone interested in buying, I ended up with two crankshafts. One I am keeping for myself and the other is for sale. 


This crank was cast with extra material in the webs to accomodate wider Chevy V8 rods. These are available cheapily in a range of lengths. Even with the wider big ends, there is substantially more material in the webs compared to the standard crank. 


This crankshaft can form the basis of a very serious engine build -- my own one is going in a 5L Wildcat engine 


Machined to specs as follows: 


Mains: 2.5"

Big Ends: 2" 

Stoke: 86.36mm

Long nose for serp engines

Cross drilled oil ways 


This crank has been machined to fit small journal Chevy V8 rods WITHOUT modification to the rods -- typically, to fit Chevy rods on the Rover requires you to narrow the rod and shells.  


This was machined and balanced to my application, but it will be possible to have it balanced to suit your particular rod and piston combination.  


With a 96mm bore, this crankshaft will give you a capacity of 5L. 


Sold on the understanding that you know this isn't a bolt-in part. You will need to work out the bore, rod length, static compression, valve clearances etc... to make this crankshaft work for your application and desired capacity, and that it will need balancing. 


Crankshaft is in the UK, hence price in Sterling. Will arrange shipping at buyer's expense.
