Not X J S? Wikipedia doesn't show an XKS before 96. Was it the T-top that they only made 200 of? I don't think I've ever seen a T-top Jag.

Dan, I went on to a couple of "Jag" sites. They talk about the "Targa Top", Rag and Coupe but no picture or description of "T-top". Deep padded Vinyl around and on the tops. Small fold-down rear seat. Former V12, BBS-mesh wheels.Med. blue inside-out. Story is, Sterling Jaguar gave the former owner a bill of 27k to complete the "Interjag"/sbc. swap ! Owner "freaked" ?, threatened law suit, so they pulled engine and T 400, pushed car out on the street. Towing co. got it and pink for free. Is it "possible" to be less problematic than 82' 928, with 5 miles of wiring ?I'm thinkin a Rover V-16, will just sqeeze in thar. Thanks, roverman

Art,

Stop screwing up the moniker.

It is an "XJS" C(onvertible) by Hess & Eisenhardt; right?

Dear Bernie, I might be pretty far gone... but I "still" know the difference between a convertable and a "T"-top. Stop screwing up my reality ! roverman.

REALLY DISLIKE THAT BUTCHERY OF MY NAME!!!

Look down to the Hess & Eisenhardt bit, says these were the 1988 "C".
I remember those "birdcage" (what the media called them) weird things but they had the removable panel in the middle (like a sunroof) and behind the Targa bar IIRC.
They were weird when new but when the real convert came out they were just ugly any more.

Do you have piccies?
