TVR 2500M Steering Rack
Posted by: harv8

I have a lot of play in my steering. I understand that the rack is from Triumph 2000 sedan. I also understand that the steering pinion gear is often worn and needs to be relaced. I'm going to check this out in the next week or two. Are there other rack adjustments possible?Any tips?

Also can I use the aluminum rack brackets in place of the rubber mounts that fasten the rack to the chassis? If so, are they the usual ones that are sold or all the TR3,4,6, Triumph steering racks?

Thanks for any help,
Martyn

Two day fix. Not bad. :-)
Sorry I didn't reply earlier, haven't been active here for a while.
Did you use shims/spacers?
What method was your fix?
I'd always recommend TVR North America for things like this because you're so close.
