I guess it's never to late to find a site more suitable to my building tastes. I've restored a Sunbeam Tiger, owned an FX4 Austin that I always thought of repowering, a TVR 280i Tasmine that was perfect as is. Currently I still have an 85 XJS Jaguar that I spent untold hours installing a stock TPI 350 Corvette with a 700R4 overdrive trans. This is a common swap (unlike when I stuffed a 302 sbf into a 142 Volvo) but I went for the harder job of building a harness and keeping the FI. As a bonus I ended up with the V12 alloy block that I turned into a coffee table that holds a full case of wine. As I mentioned I'm old and don't drive much anymore so the Jag may go up for sale.
