I briefly thought about PhotoShopping a BritishV8 sticker onto one of Rob's photos.

Personally, I have no problem at all with this thread... but I should have moved it to the "Other Cars" section weeks ago. The description for THAT section reads as follows: "a place to discuss all our other favorite cars, especially the modified and/or V8 ones". Obviously a Mustang thread meets that description.

I'll do that now, and hope it doesn't squash the conversation.

Chinese British Mustang?? Wow, it that grasping at straws! Creative though...

Seems to make sense the way Curtis moved it though.

Jim, I hadn't thought of it that way and in hindsight, I see your point. I shouldn't have used the word "offended" and I meant no offense to anyone on this board.
Rob, keep us in the loop on your progress. Would ditching the dark blue colour and going with some flavour of British Racing Green to cover those Chinese/MG fenders help? :~)

I hadn't updated this thread to show progress pics because Jim was right and it really isn't British... But, since I've been using my MG as my daily driver while Drew's Mustang was getting painted & timing worked out perfect... we got his car out of the shop the day after my MG's hub/bearing assemblies failed again, I figured there was a British connection. Ok, I know that's a far flung excuse, I just wanted to share the result ;). We fixed the hit/run damage and fit the body kit together. But, when we looked at my travel schedule, Drew's band commits, and a few family things, we realized we wouldn't have time to get the prep & paint work done before he graduated. So, we decided to have it painted at a shop. Below are a before and after pics. David's renderings definitely helped him figure out what he wanted to do. He was dead set on blue and silver with racing stripes. But, he couldn't find a combination that he really liked. Then we saw a copper colored Aston Martin one Saturday when we decided to go to some car lots to look at colors...
