Owner: Jim Maness
City: Bethalto, IL Car Model: 1965 Triumph Spitfire Engine: The following are just ideas I want to do with this build Engine: Small Block Chevy Cooling: Undetermined Exhaust: Undetermined Transmission: 700R4 Rear Axle: Ford 9 inch Front Susp.:Mustang II Rear Susp.: 4 Link Brakes: Undetermined (master) (front) Disc (rear) Disc Wheels/Tires: 15" wheels - Tire size to be determined Body Mods: Undetermined Interior: Undetermined Electrical: Undetermined 3/26/17 - Some shots of the car when I picked it up 4/1/17 - Started to disassemble the car and assess the situation. 4/8/17 - Started to sand blast the frame and decided it would be better to make a custom frame. And since we had an LS mock up sitting around, I thought I'd see how it would look. 4/15/17 - Got the frame completely bare so I have to go off of when I start on making the new frame. 5/6/17 - Started on replacing the passenger rocker panel 5/17/17 - After welding in the passenger rocker panel, there was nothing to weld the bottom seam to since the floor was completely rotted away. So I replaced the Drivers floor board first. I had to end up trimimg the floor pan I had made just a little on one corner to fit. You can see where I had to trim in the pic below. Floor is solidly tacked in place here And here is a pic of the passenger floor pan I made If you are interested in seeing how I made these floor pans, check out the video --------> [youtu.be] 5/28/17 - Got the Passenger Floor put in today. NOw I can start work on the custom frame once I get the metal ordered Edited 6 time(s). Last edit at 05/28/2017 11:01PM by jimi. |
