Update on the Twin Turbo Tiger. Best of all it is still running strong and being reliable.
Last weekend went to Speed World in AZ and raced in the heads up 10 sec and won the race.
Going to a car show approx. 50 miles away on Sat. and we are driving the car to the show.

Samuelsun,
Go to the photo gallary and there are updated pics of the car under Jerry Porsch.
One of these days I'll get around to repainting the car but for now it looks great at 146MPH going down the 1/4 mile LOL

Jerry, when ever I look at a picture of your turbo location I realise what the battery boxes on an MGB should be used for.

Do you run the pipe from the turbo to the engine along the underside of the car like you might the exhaust?
Do you have problems with your air cleaners getting dirty quickly?

Great results Jerry, congratulations on the win! Hey, next year's V8 meet is going to be in east Texas, a lot closer to you, are you going to join us there so we can see your car in the flesh?

The charge is approx. 2" away frome the exhaust pipe that is wraped in heat wrap and then goes up through the false foot well on the pass. side.
The air cleaners are cleaned about once a month.

Where in east Texas is the next V8 meet, I would love to come -:)

Jerry, it will be in Palestine which is south east of Tyler over near the Lousiana border. Great pine forest country with some good winding roads to travel. Date is going to be early in the spring to avoid the high heat and humidity that summer brings to that part of the country. More will be posted on the forum as the event gets nearer. We're working on the beginning plans for the 2013 meet up in Omaha or so the plan is now. Still within your reach from NM.

With your turbo that far from the engine how do you arrange the lubrication of the bearing?

We run a #4 line from the oil pressure line and then tee it off to #3 lines and the turbo's drain into a dank and we use a Mocal return pump back into the pan, seems to work well

Jerry, You run this at NHRA tracks ? How do you "avoid" the 90" wb rule ? Good work, roverman.

First question is I run a power glide trans with a 3500 stall
Art in the NHRA rule book it says if the car came with a v-8 motor and the fire wall has not been modified it legal to run 10:00 @135 with the safety equipment I have.
But since I've ran 9's I've been ask to leave at a couple of tracks :-(
If it was only a roll bar issue I would cage the car up in a heart beat but its all the certs you have do every two yrs and the NHRA license that I think after you turn 60 its every yr.
So I race here at the local tracks and if its a money race I have to keep it to 10:00 but in time trails they let me run it out.
Since I met my goal of having a real true street car that has ran 9:40's on pump and I drive it almost everyday I've been behaving.
LOL

Well we made it to Houston and had a great time. We won the 10sec. true street car class and then in the Shoot out made it three rounds before my buddy with his twin turbo mustang beat me with a 8:62 to my 9:70.
Best of all nothing broke!!!!
