Re: Sunbeam Tiger: Installing Turbo's
Well all I can say it was really hot in Tulsa and the car only ran 9:96 @ 139 was'nt what I wanted but we made seven passes and they were 9:96 thru 10:01. The guy that was suppose have his video camera did'nt have the soft wear to down load or something like that.
We can only make 11lbs of boost so it made 668RWHP we are working on that problem now because I want to turn it down to 5lbs on the street so it does'nt blow there tires away. |

Re: Sunbeam Tiger: Installing Turbo's
hi jerry, do you have in your area "PINKS ALL OUT" ? i watched them last week at 131 knoll motorsports dragway martin mi. they have a 10.20 limit and a .020 breakout rule you can bid on tickets online but they sell out very quick! my brother raced but he could only manage a 11.00 not good enough to win or make the quick 16. they had some very fast cars there! and they will air it on t.v. september 24 th 2009 on speed channel. a mid 90's mustang won it, sounds like your car would be perfect for this kind of racing, best of luck!!

Re: Sunbeam Tiger: Installing Turbo's
Mark I'll have to check because they did have a Pinks All Out in Tucson that I went to a couple of years ago and blew another motor that was the 4th one of the year and that's when we changed to the turbo setup. I'm really happy with this new setup running low 10's @139 and only running 10lbs of boost on pump gas and then driving it back home and not pissing the wife off when i park it in the garage and it does'nt knock her pictures off the wall.

Re: Sunbeam Tiger: Installing Turbo's
ha ha your going to have to record it yourself i guess, your car is very consistant and that really counts at the track!! my brother adjusts the gov. on the trans. and just leaves the car in drive, like you no electronics on the starting line just old fashioned mental focus for a good reation time. best of luck to ya on your next race!!

Re: Sunbeam Tiger: Installing Turbo's
We raced in the Street Brawl sunday and I got my ass handed to me by a 8:50 Saleen Must. that made the 30mile cruise and was street legal, he ended up winning the 1000.00 bucks.
I did go 9:98@139 and drilled him hard on the tree but he just had to much for me at the top end. My back window blew out on that pass and landed in the sand and it was ok found the trim and everything so that was good, going to have to make sure we glue it in better. Signed up for Pink's at Firebird in Phoenix going to run the race in Dec. 4th &5th |
