Sunbeam Alpine steering rack and column questions

Hey I'm new to the forum and sunbeams in general..... Out here in Alberta, Canada me and my father are restoring a 64 alpine but are wanting to put a 302 into it rather that the four cylinder. the questions i have are in concern with the steering setup and the column... from what we've been able to gather the column is different from the Alpine to the Tiger and obviously the rack is different.. we have been unable to find a place to order the tiger rack from or the column but we are wondering what sort of racks you can adapt to fit and basically any info in this department will be a great help...

thanks,
Al

Hi Al,

Check out the Sunbeam section of the "Photo Gallery" link above... there are two Alpines with 302's (one's a 347 stroked 302). Each used a different steering rack -- may give you some ideas.
